NH Division Campfire - Enhance your research: how to write a scientific paper

The ECS group of the NH Division is happy to share a series of online workshops and webinars aiming to (i) promote the NH division ECS group and its activities to increase participation and networking, (ii) provide ECSs (but not limited to) a safe space to meet and discuss, (iii) provide ECSs (but not limited to) an informal yet effective training moment, to improve personal and professional skills

This first webinar will cover the basics of writing a research article for publication in an academic journal. It is ideal for beginners in the topic but can also serve as a refresher for more experienced researchers. In this webinar, you can expect to learn tips for:

(i) the global publishing landscape (including open access);
(ii) identifying a target journal;
(iii) developing your argument and structuring your paper;
(iv) avoiding plagiarism with good citation practices and software;
(v) writing your cover letter;
(vi) handling rejection.
