This joint GMPV-NH Campfire brings together the volcano science communities of EGU divisions to explore the continuum from magmatic processes to volcanic hazard assessment and risk management. By connecting petrology, geochemistry, monitoring, and decision-making frameworks, the event aims to bridge fundamental research with applied geo hazard and risk practice. The discussion is open to the entire EGU community, welcoming participants from all divisions who are interested in natural hazards, Earth system processes, risk governance, or science–policy interfaces. Through an interactive Campfire format, the event aims to stimulate cross-disciplinary dialogue and inspire new collaborations beyond traditional divisional boundaries.
