Empowering Individuals to Become Active Bystanders
To participate in the workshop "Empowering Individuals to Become Active Bystanders", you must register in advance using the button below.
This interactive session describes academic practices and institutional structures that allow for harassment, bullying, and other exclusionary behaviors to persist and provides training in personal intervention strategies to protect and support targets of harassment.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice newly acquired bystander intervention strategies in real-world scenarios with trained facilitators. As a result of this session, participants will be empowered to:
- identify different ways in which exclusionary behaviors can manifest in research environments and,
- intervene safely as bystanders.
