AS Campfire: Getting Started in Atmospheric Sciences
Atmospheric Sciences is an interdisciplinary field that brings together researchers from a wide range of academic backgrounds and approaches. From atmospheric processes and weather prediction to numerical modelling and machine learning, there are many different pathways into the field.
Join the EGU Atmospheric Sciences ECS Campfire for an informal and interactive discussion with two early-career researchers, Dr. Anie K. Lal and Lukas Gnad, who will share their journeys into Atmospheric Sciences, research experiences, and perspectives on finding a pathway into the field.
The discussion will explore different academic pathways, developing research interests, getting started in research, and opportunities for students interested in pursuing graduate studies and careers in Atmospheric Sciences. The session will conclude with an audience Q&A.
