From Rock folds on the south coast of Kerrera, Scotland. Although a small island Kerrera (pronounced Kera) has lots of interesting geology. Based on some Dalradian rocks, metamorphosed around 540 million years ago is Old Red Sandstone (deposits of river sediments) and on top of that is volcanic sediments from ash – from a nearby lava sequence on the mainland. Check out this area for lots of interesting geology and a journey through time!
