Job description

The Climate System Modelling Group seeks post-doctoral researcher to work in the project Marine organic aerosol and its impacts on clouds and climate funded by the Academy of Finland. The aim of the project is to develop a Large Eddy Simulation (LES) model so that it can be used to quantify the effects of primary and secondary marine organic aerosol on shallow marine clouds. The currently open position will focus on 1) supplementing a LES model with an organic aerosol formation module, and 2) using the model in model intercomparison and case studies. The position is for the time period from January 2020 until the end of December 2021 (start date can be negotiated), and will require the researcher to participate in international collaboration, including research visits abroad.
