Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Chemistry
CSIRO Publishing operates as an editorially independent science publisher within Australia’s premier research group, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), and has been publishing journals since 1948. Our internationally recognised publishing program includes journals, books and magazines and covers a wide range of scientific disciplines.
CSIRO Publishing is seeking a scientist (or scientists) of international standing for this position, with a good track record of publishing in high-quality international journals, in addition to strong leadership and teamwork skills, and the vision to drive this journal forward in the future. The post may be held by a scientist resident anywhere in the world. The position of Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Chemistry is an opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the future of an established journal and to make a significant contribution to the publication of quality environmental chemistry research for a worldwide readership.
This honorary position is available for an initial term of 3–4 years, with the possibility of a second term. The successful applicant will have access to a web-based submission and peer review system, and a dedicated Editorial Assistant and Marketing and Production services based in Melbourne. The duties outlined in this role are expected to take approximately 6–8 hours per week.
