The Research Center for Environmental Changes (RCEC), a center of excellence in the studies of Environmental Changes at the Academia Sinica in Taiwan. With an annual operating and research budget of about US$7 million, RCEC conducts research in the areas fundamental to our understanding of the environmental changes of the Earth. Existing research fields include, but are not limited to: atmospheric chemistry and physics, aquatic biogeochemistry and climate sciences. The Center currently consists of 23 research fellows, 24 postdoctoral fellows, and a substantial number of research assistants and administrative staffs, totaling about 95.

Job description

The Research Center for Environmental Changes (RCEC), Academia Sinica invites outstanding scientists to apply for tenure-track researcher positions at the assistant research fellow level or above in Environmental Science and related disciplines. This position is expected to begin from January of 2021. We particularly consider applicants with expertise in (1) Climate Science: Physical and dynamic processes in Earth System Model, High-resolution (global/regional) climate modeling; (2) Atmosphere Physics and Chemistry: Observation on regional atmospheric composition and physico-chemical properties, Investigation on air quality and environmental health, Simulation on atmospheric physical and chemical processes; (3) Hydrospheric Science: Marine Biogeochemical Modeling, Marine Biogeochemistry, Geochemistry, and Environmental changes.
