Job description

The geodesy group of the Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow for participation in the research project “An Iterative Approach for Near-Coast Marine Geoid Modelling”, for more details see . The objectives of the project are as follows:
Development of a hybrid machine learning approach to determine accurate sea surface heights by utilizing satellites, in-situ and model data
Improvements in hydrodynamic models (HDM) by using synergy of data,
Near-coast improvements in marine geoid modelling and SSH.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute interactively with all the objectives especially with research interest of the first two sub-fields outlined above. The successful candidate should have a PhD either in satellite altimetry, ocean modelling, geodesy or related field. Advanced programming, post-processing and data management/analysis skills are required. He/she should be fluent in the English (speaking and writing) and possess teamworking abilities. The position is offered for 12-18 months (negotiable).
