Job description

Postdoctoral position to simulate the response of a new proposed instrument to potential fly on the International Space Station for measuring tropospheric methane concentrations.

The main task of the post doc will be to make a simulation of the observations that we will be albe to obtain with the proposed payload. This will include setting up and running an atmosphere model to simulate realistic observing conditions.

Based on the results of these simulations the project will move on to producing a prototype of the instrument that could eventually be installed on the international space station. This will be done in collaboration with the mechanical and electronic workshop at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Aarhus University.
