Job description

We are pleased to announce 2 Post-Doc positions on a 2 years project dealing with geochemistry and isotope stratigraphy by using conodonts at the University of Padova (Italy) and University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy).

In this framework, our project aims to determine the role played by significant increases of greenhouse gases (i.e., CO2, CH4) during relevant time intervals of the geological past, by exploiting bioapatite chemistry. Fossil skeletal archives are in fact critical to understand the impact of climate change on oceans, providing an (almost) continuous record of past climate events for time frames up to millions of years.

We are looking for 2 candidates with PhD in Geology, Earth Sciences, Nature Science, Chemistry, or other related fields with expertise in geochemistry and isotope stratigraphy.

How to apply

The deadline of the application for the first position at Padova University is on 29th November 2023 at this link:

The second position at University of Modena will be announced in early December 2023
