Job description

The Environmental Geochemistry Group at the Institute of Geoecology at Technische Universität Braunschweig is seeking applicants for a 6-year fully funded postdoctoral position (3 years with 3 years extension).

We invite applicants with research interests and experience in Environmental Geochemistry to complement or extend the group’s research interests in areas such as biogeochemistry of trace elements and pollutants in aquatic systems, wetlands and soils or the marine environment. The position is to be filled on a fixed-term starting from 01.07.2024.

As a successful candidate you should have a background in a relevant field such as Environmental Sciences or Earth Sciences. Experience in analytical chemistry and field work is desirable. The preferred candidate will be expected to teach courses (4 h/week) in Environmental Geochemistry including laboratories courses.

A broad interest in environmental sciences, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team is essential. You should be fluent in oral and written English, since the host group is international in composition and publication aims.
