The BSc of Environmental Sciences for Sustainability BESS is located at the Segovia Campus of the IE University. Segovia is a World-Heritage city, 30 minutes by high-speed train from Madrid. Pre-Tenure Track Position in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science applied to Environmental Sustainability
The Environmental for sustainability area of the IE School of Science and Technology invites applications one pre tenure track faculty position in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science applications in environmental sciences staring in September 2024. The ideal candidate will complement the expertise of the faculty members of the Environmental Academic Area and therefore, must demonstrate experience on the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and/or computational modelling in any of the following fields: Environmental Sustainability, Sustainable Water Systems, Early Warning Systems and Geohazards, Earth Climate System, Environmental Assessment, Global Anthropogenic Carbon Cycle, Sustainable Natural Resources and Energy and/or One-health.

This is an opportunity to enjoy life in Spain while working in English in a multi-cultural environment.

Recent completion of the Ph.D. and a maximum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience. A track record of peer-review publications according to experience and a minimum of one year of undergraduate-level teaching experience are required. Experience in mentoring undergraduate students is highly valued.

Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
