This is a fully funded position (1+2 years) at Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden), based on an EUMETSAT fellowship. As a consequence, only citizens in EUMETSAT member states are eligible for the position.

The research aim is to bridge the gap between the microwave and
infrared observation of ice clouds, in order to improve the use of such observations in weather forecasting and climate applications. The research will involve novel satellite observations (from the Arctic Weather Satellite) and be performed in collaboration with ECMWF and SMHI (the Swedish weather office).
