About the job
Reporting to the Soil Carbon and Fertility Unit Manager, you will take part in projects investigating the transformation of soil organic and inorganic compartments in agroecosystems. Therefore, you should demonstrate knowledge of soil ecology and soil biogeochemistry.

o Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement key methods to evaluate macro- and microorganisms’ activity in soil.
- Study the mechanisms involved in nutrient cycling in the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum.
- Manage and analyse experimental data.
- Participate in writing reports, scientific publications, and research project proposals.
- Collaborate with academic, industrial, and institutional partners.

About you
- Hold a Ph.D. in Biogeochemistry, Soil Biology or Ecology, Environmental Science, Soil Science, or related fields.
- Ideally have had a postdoctoral experience.
- Are knowledgeable about soil sampling and analysis techniques (physico-chemical analyses, metagenomics, metabolomics, etc.).
- Have advanced skills in biostatistics and proficiency in the R programming language for data analysis.
- Show excellent scientific writing and communication skills.
- Are fluent in English and French.
- Demonstrate autonomy, scientific rigor, team spirit, and the ability to work on multidisciplinary projects.
