Job description

A tenure-track position is now open within the ISPA joint research unit, in Bordeaux, France. This type of chair is aimed at PhDs with solid post-doctoral research experience. This is a 3-year contract, with both a research and a teaching component, with the prospect of tenure as INRAE research director at the end of this period. A package combining thesis and post-doc grants and an operating budget will ensure an efficient start to scientific activity.

Evaluating agroecological transition scenarios at very large spatial scales is absolutely necessary to guide public action. However, this evaluation often remains partial and single-criterion, which severely limits its scope. The aim of the recruitment is to develop an integrated mechanistic modelling approach at large spatial scales (national, continental and global) to assess the effects of agroecological management scenarios on multiple criteria such as plant and animal production, land and biomass use, biogeochemical cycles and water, in the context of a changing climate.
