As part of this project, you will play a key role in delivering impactful research that supports our understanding of rock weathering processes, working directly in field environments. You’ll be supported by experienced academic mentors and collaborate within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. There may also be opportunities to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching where appropriate.

The salary for this position will be in the range of $90,125 to $107,452 per year, pro-rata, depending on the skills, experience, and knowledge you bring to the role. This is a full-time, fixed-term position (37.5 hours per week) based at the University of Waikato’s Tauranga campus, ideally commencing in September 2025. The role is offered for a period of three years based on project funding.

You’ll be an excellent communicator, able to build effective relationships with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders. Confidence in applying information and communication technologies to support your research outcomes is essential.

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, and thrives under pressure. You’ll enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and be committed to a culture of openness, flexibility, and cooperation to achieve research and academic excellence.
