Geoapp srl

Geoapp offers data analytic services, software and training aimed at supporting clients in assessing geotechnical risk related to stability of natural slopes, pit slopes, tailings dams, water dams, sinkholes.
Geoapp analyzes and interprets data from very different technologies, including satellite InSAR, radar, laser, prisms, geotechnical sensors and microseismic networks, supporting clients in setting up alarms and in forecasting failures using those data and ultimately in taking decisions on how to mitigate geotechnical risk at their site.

The main offering of Geoapp includes:

  • Design and implementation of integrated deformation monitoring programs with early warning purposes based on multiple technologies, e.g. satellite InSAR, radar, prisms, GNSS, geotechnical sensors, microseismic networks.
  • Webplatforms to visualize and analyse monitoring data with alarming capabilities based on multiple sensors.
  • Review of monitoring data: daily/weekly/monthly reports on monitoring data to identify anomalous behaviors and imminent failure conditions.
  • Post-failure data review: data analysis to identify correlations between monitoring data and triggering factors.
  • Analysis of changes in soil moisture, vegetation coverage and water levels of tailings dams from optical satellite images.
  • Training on geotechnical monitoring programs in surface mining.
  • Review of slope monitoring programs.
  • Apps for the visualization on mobile devices of geographical data and for the notification of alarms from early warning systems.
