Job description

The AmazonFACE programme, a real-world climate experiment to build understanding of the Amazon rainforest’s response to environmental change, invites applications for Science Manager.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary link between the AmazonFACE Science Plan and field operations, ensuring high-quality data collection and coordination across research teams. The appointee will play a central role in planning field campaigns, monitoring data flows, resolving operational bottlenecks, and maintaining clear communication with project leaders and collaborators. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most ambitious climate-forest experiments.

Role: Science Manager
Location: National Institute for Amazonian Research, Manaus, Brazil
Contract duration: 3 years, pending successful completion of a probationary period
Salary: BRL 7,800/month
