Job description

The postdoctoral fellow will perform dynamic downscaling for warm climate periods of the past, aiming to provide a long-term climate perspective on ocean–atmosphere interactions in the South Atlantic and their influence on extreme events over Brazil. Simulations from PMIP4-GCMs will be used as initial and boundary conditions and validated against proxy data available in the project.

The fellow will be based at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, University of São Paulo (IAG-USP), working within the Center for Research on Climate Crisis and Disaster Resilience (CLIMARES), a Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center (RIDC) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and hosted at IEE-USP.
