Job description

The University of Freiburg invites applications for a scientific programmer to join the newly formed Socio-Ecological Systems Modeling Lab of the Future Forests Cluster of Excellence.

The successful applicant will play an important role in the Cluster of Excellence by making a significant contribution to the integration of process models for all components of the forest system, and by helping to shape research in this area.

The successful applicant will work with colleagues in the Socio-Ecological Systems Modeling Lab to support researchers across the Cluster. The activities of the Modeling Lab will be directed by the steering panel composed of Dr. Tjibbe Donker, Prof. Carsten Dormann, Prof. Rene Orth, and JProf. Ana Stritih.

The position is offered for the duration of the Excellence Cluster until 31 December 2032, with salary according to TVöD E13.
