The fellowship will be carried out under the supervision of Prof. David Lapola within the AmazonFACE Programme, at the Laboratório de Ciência do Sistema Terrestre (LabTerra – Laboratory of Terrestrial System Science), part of CEPAGRI – Center for Meteorological and Climate Research Applied to Agriculture, University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil.

The position is associated with a FAPESP-funded research project led by Prof. Lapola and integrates experimental and modeling activities of the AmazonFACE Programme.

AmazonFACE is a large-scale international scientific programme designed to reduce key uncertainties regarding the effects of rising atmospheric CO₂ concentrations on Amazon rainforest ecosystems. It hosts the world’s largest open-air climate change experiment (Free-Air CO₂ Enrichment – FACE) in a tropical forest, providing an exceptional research environment for ecosystem and Earth system science.
