New policy section on the EGU website 19 October 2015 The EGU has launched a new section on its website with a focus on science policy. Changes for EGU interactive journals: new library and payment concept 25 September 2015 From January 2016 onwards, most EGU journals will see changes to the way their papers are archived and paid for. The new concept emphasises that discussion papers are manuscripts under review and connects final revised papers with their corresponding discussion papers in a more clear and consistent way. Dealing with plagiarism at Climate of the Past 24 September 2015 Recently, Climate of the Past (CP) faced an unacceptable case of plagiarism, with a paper published in another open access journal copying figures, captions and large sections of the text from a paper originally published in CP. EGU Vice-President Günter Blöschl awarded AGU’s Robert E. Horton Medal 24 July 2015 Günter Blöschl, Chair of Hydrology and Water Resources Management at the Vienna University of Technology and former EGU President (currently EGU Vice-President), has been awarded the Robert E. Horton Medal of the American Geophysical Union. This medal is given annually to one honoree in recognition for “outstanding contributions to hydrology.” Read more

Biogeosciences most cited articles in 2014 2 July 2015 The chief editors of Biogeosciences, an EGU open access journal, have put together a top-10 list of articles published in 2012 and 2013, which were the most cited ones in 2014 according to Web of Science.
