Her work focus on quantification of the total OH (hydroxyl radical) reactivity of the ambient air. Indeed, the OH radical is the main oxidant of the troposphere and the main sink of the most volatile organic compounds (VOCs), contributing to the self-cleansing capacity of the atmosphere. The poster presents the results obtained during the MEGAPOLI 2010 winter campaign in Paris.

It involves processes that occur over huge scales of time and space, and much of its subject matter is deep underground. Dr Glenn Dolphin, of the University of Calgary in Canada, is committed to tackling this challenge, through connecting teachers and students with authentic research experiences. Find out about Glenn's work and how he was inspired to study geoscience himself.
Home / Media Library / Photographs of gas storage tank taken with visible and infrared cameras
The picture on the left shows a gas storage tank as it would look to the naked eye. On the right, the picture was taken with a camera that visualises in the infrared range, which allows us to see methane gas being vented from the tank. This procedure is done regularly to keep the tank pressure at a safe level.
