The 2011 Outstanding Student Poster (OSP) Award is awarded to Kirsten Kennedy for the poster/PICO entitled:

Paleoenvironments of Early Devonian plants and fish in the Campbellton Formation, New Brunswick, Canada: invasion of the land at a classic locality (Kennedy, K.; Gibling, M.)

Kirsten Kennedy has recently completed her MSc degree in the Department of Earth Sciences at Dalhousie University. Her research investigated the sedimentology of early vegetated environments in the Devonian, under the supervision of Dr. Martin Gibling. In her EGU 2011 poster, a facies analysis of a fossil-rich locality was used to provide a paleoenvironmental context for the plants, vertebrates and invertebrates occupying the ecosystem.
