The 2018 Outstanding Student Poster and PICO (OSPP) Awards is awarded to Bahareh Kianfar for the poster/PICO entitled:

Environmental factors affecting the transport of DNA-tagged particle tracers in saturated porous media (Kianfar, B.; Tian, J.; Bogaard, T.; Foppen, J.-W.)

Bahareh Kianfar is a PhD student at the department of Water management of the Delft University of Technology. The focus of her research is on Proof-of-concept study to investigate the possibility of using DNA particle tracers as hydrological tracer at different spatial scale from soil column experiment to field scale.
The work presented at EGU poster 2018 is preliminary results of a set of the laboratory tests conducted to assess the recovery rate of DNA particle tracers and to define which environmental factors affecting the tracers transport behaviour on uniformly packed soil column.
