The applied flexibility of the past and the ability to adapt to the special needs of the Corona-influenced General Assembly 2022 have shown that the ACV as a centre, its team, and our Viennese suppliers can react to the needs of the EGU and its attendees. That encouraged us to partner with the ACV for 8 more years from now until 2030. She started in 2017 as a project assistant managing the data inclusion for a global and openly-accessible in situ soil moisture database, the International Soil Moisture Network (ISMN, https://ismn.earth). From May 2019 until the end of December 2022, she coordinated the ISMN operations, collaborating with 73 network partners around the globe, and managed the transfer of the ISMN operational service to a new host in Germany (the German Federal office of Hydrology and the connected International Center for Water Resources and Global Change).

In her presentation at EGU 2024, Hannah shared findings on the size distribution of mineral dust close to an emission source using data collected in the Jordan Wind Erosion and Dust Investigation (J-WADI, https://www.imk-tro.kit.edu/11800.php ) campaign conducted north of Wadi Rum, Jordan, in September 2022. 28 October 2022 MUNICH – Peering inside common atmospheric particles is providing important clues to their climate and health effects, according to a new study by University of British Columbia chemists. Secondary organic aerosol ( SOA ) particles are ubiquitous in the atmosphere and play an important role in air quality and climate.
