Home / Awards & medals / Robert Wilhelm Bunsen Medal / 2018 / Andrew Putnis
The impact of Putnis’ work is wide-ranging from nanoscale studies of the mineral-fluid interface to the large-scale consequences of metasomatism, metamorphism and rock deformation. He has been a major force in applying in situ atomic force microscopy to study factors that control the mechanisms of mineral dissolution and precipitation.
Home / Awards & medals / Stephan Mueller Medal / 2011 / Laurent Jolivet
He is the head of one of the largest scientific groups in Europe and continues supervision of a large number of PhD students ranging over different fields and topics.

Home / Awards & medals / Outstanding Student Poster and PICO (OSPP) Awards / 2019 / Iulia-Madalina Streanga
The research she presented at EGU 2019 used measurements of Sr/Ca and δ18O on a coral skeleton drill core from Kosrae Island, Federal States of Micronesia, as proxies for changes in sea surface temperature and salinity. Currently, Iulia is a first-year PhD student in the MIT/WHOI Joint Program in Chemical Oceanography.
Home / Awards & medals / Outstanding Student Poster (OSP) Awards / 2014 / Young-Ha Kim
His research interests have been focused on atmospheric wave dynamics. He will complete his degree this year with the dissertation entitled “Equatorial Planetary and Gravity Waves in the Stratosphere and Their Contribution to the QBO”. The main results of the dissertation are presented in this poster, including the propagation/dissipation patterns of various-type equatorial waves in the stratosphere and the momentum forcing induced by the waves to the QBO in a GCM.
Home / News / EGU news / Solid Earth indexed by Thomson Reuters
Thomson Reuters recognised Solid Earth as an authoritative and high-standard source of information after assessing the quality, number, and characteristics of the papers published in the journal since its first publication in February 2010. The indexing means Thomson Reuters will consider the journal in its yearly Impact Factor calculations; Solid Earth’s first Impact Factor will be announced in June 2013.
