Committees & working groups

The administrative activities of the Union are carried out through committees, established by the Council as necessary. EGU has presently nine committees that report to the Council.

Awards Committee

• Co-ordinates EGU medal committees and proposes medal recipients to the Council

Education Committee

• Co-ordinates the EGU activities related to secondary and tertiary education

• Investigates serious breaches of the EGU Code of Conduct and other allegations of scientific misconduct

Finance Committee

• Oversees the various nomination processes related to EGU elections
• Consists of the president and vice-president

• Co-ordinates outreach activities as stipulated by By-laws 1.5 and 1.6
